Kato Drys is a beautiful stone built village in Larnaca’s mountain area. It is a place that “captures” you from the very first moment you see it.
Even though many houses, are either not inhabited, or their owners visit them during the weekends, its order and neatness are remarkable, which makes you want to walk in the narrow streets and admire the architecture of the balconies, which in some cases are in tangent with the opposite ones.
Kato Drys has created the museum of folk architecture and culture, which is always open. The Museum guardian is very kind, and apart from inducting you to the different themes concerning the exhibits, she will undoubtedly treat you with a glass of homemade lemonade. It would be a shame if you visited Kato Drys without visiting the Museum.
In addition, the village houses a bee Museum. I do not have an opinion about it.
Kato Drys is a live village and has a lot to give to its visitors.
