Melini is a small village of the mountain area of Larnaca. It is found between Ora and Eptagonia. 60 people permanently live in the community.
Despite the difficult conditions that the residents are facing for their survival, they take care of and conserve their village that is in perfect condition. The narrow and steep streets take you through clean yards and efflorescent gardens.
The church of the village is dedicated to Panagia Eleousa. It is found on the north of the village, next to a small park. It is stone built and it has a wooden roof with tiles.
The visitor of Melini will be able to see and observe the architecture of the houses found in mountain areas, that are made of plinth and have big stones as foundations. The roads are entirely paved, something that gives the village a beautiful architectural character.
If you are passing by the area, visit Melini and walk along its streets. In the right period you will see many sources running down the streams of the village.
