In the centre of the Kalavasos village, in the same surrounding space with the Livereio elementary school, inside the narrow stone built streets, the church of Panagia tis Titiotissas or Panagia Theotokos is built.
The name of “Titiotissa” came from the Tetios river, that was renamed to Vasiliko after the docking of the ship that carried Agia Eleni and Agios Constantinos from the Holy Land to the capital of Byzantium to its mouth. It is a 1890 construction and can receive up to 300 believers.
Next to the church, in front of the main entrance of its yard, a paved square is formed, with a particularly beautiful stone, the stone from Tochni. In a few months, this square will be the community’s ornament.
