The Muslim Mosque in Alaminos is a very old building that was initially a Turkish school and was consecutively transformed into a mosque. It is found in the Turkish Cypriot part of the village on the east shore of the kseropotamos river. It is a Mosque that has no minaret.
From 1974, when the Turkish Cypriots abandoned Alaminos, it was left with no care, resulting to it being in a very bad condition today.
The area where the Mosque is found, along with the chapel of Agia Marina on the opposite, could be transformed to a park and the two monuments could be the two main pylons. The space is quite big, and the most important of all, it is empty.
