The Mosque of Kalavasos is built in a very beautiful green neighbourhood. Being next to the Greek Orthodox church of Panagia Titiotissa, it witnesses that Christians and Muslims lived peacefully with one another.
Even though the Mosque was abandoned in 1967, when the Muslim settlers of Kalavasos moved to the Turkish Cypriot village called Mari, its condition was perfect.
It is a 19th century construction.
