Among the villages of Akapnou and Eptagonia there is a site called "Agiochoma". It is a religious site and has cult character. It is situated 100 meters west of the chapel dedicated to Our Lady of Kampos, in the direction of Eptagonia on the south shore of the tributary of Vasiliko. Once, there was a wooden bridge over the river and stone stairs lead to the point where an icon of the Virgin Mary and some "charms" tied to the surrounding bushes are found.
A recent fire destroyed the wooden bridge and burned part of the pine forest of the region and the riverside bushes. The site is visited by believers from many parts of Cyprus, who leave with disappointment, because they can not access to the point where Agiochoma (holy soil) is mined. Some authority, religious or communal should undertake to rebuild the bridge over the river.
