We did not find information concerning the church of the Saints Sergios and Vakchos that is found in the village of Limassol called Kissousa.
The church performs liturgies twice a year and quite a few of the ex residents of the village participate at them, who were obliged to move to other villages and towns of the island due to lack of water.
It is an old Byzantine construction with a Basilica style. If we base our knowledge on the age of the huge Terebinth tree that is found in the courtyard, then the chapel is probably more than 500 years old.
It is built of stone, and based on its morphology, it has been taken from the same area where the Church was later constructed. Its north side is made up of the rock that was broken up for its construction.
On the south side you will find the cemetery of the community, a wooden belfry and a tap with potable water.
A few dozens metres south, you will see the river Ha-Potami “passing by” and on its bed you will see hundreds of platanus and terebinth trees.
The church of the Saints Sergios and Vakchos is celebrated on the 2nd of October and during this day, crowds of worshipers from neighbouring villages come to receive holy communion.
