Agios Georgios Alamanou female monastery, is found on the left side of the Nicosia - Limassol motorway, on the exit for Pentakomo.
The history of this monastery is situated far back in time, during those years where Agios Georgios, one of the three hundred Alaman people that fled to our island, persecuted by Arabs.
At first they found shelter in many caves found in the area, and later on in the space where the monastery was constructed, which, in the beginning was for monks.
Further on, the Bishop of Kiti transformed it into a female monastery, just as it is found today.
