The Holy Church of Agios Georgios Tropaioforos in the village of Kellaki, belonging to the District of Limassol, is a construction of the 18th century. Due to its architecture it is one of the historical monuments of Cyprus. Its belfry is very impressive with its carvings.
It is built with stones from the area and on its external walls twelve arches are formed, five on each side, on the south as well as the north. This type of architecture is not found often in Cyprus.
Its location on the peak of a hill, offers the visitor the possibility to have a general view such of the village itself as well as the neighbouring villages and the whole area up until the mountain peaks of Troodos.
The Church is for thousands of believers, a place of visitation for worshipping and offerings. During the whole year, worshippers from all over Cyprus and Russia, visit this church.
For your best service, leave your vehicle at one of the parking places and continue towards the Church by foot, because next to the Church itself there is no parking place for cars.
