One of the most beautiful beaches of Cyprus, is the community beach of Parekklisia. It is a light blue flag holder and provides with many facilities and services.
It has a length of 400 metres and a width of 300 metres and it is covered with fine grey sand. There is a lifeguard from 10:00 until 17:00. There are restaurants, kiosks, bars, places to stay, public toilet and the possibility to rent equipment for sea sports.
It is a calm beach and the waves of the sea never exceed the average, while the seabed is sand without rocks. It neighbours with two other very beautiful hotel beaches.
It begins from the east, that is the Marina of St Raphael and the well known hotel that has the same name, as well as the huge parking place. North you can see the Kanika Elias Beach Hotel and northwest, the Grand Resort. West there is another beach, which is just as good. The access to it is very easy and it is offered to visitors from other towns, whether these visitors are there for one day, or for a few day stay. There are many hotels and accommodation at reasonable prices.
Visitors with families have nothing to worry about. The roads are at such a distance from the beach that they do not overcome any danger at all, and the children can play freely either on the play place or on the grass, while at the same time, the parents can enjoy their cocktails at the bar restaurant. (Of course some supervision always has better results)
We asked to have the prices. In general, they were “good”, whatever that may mean.
If you have not yet visited the Community Beach of Parekklisia, do so, if not this year, then next year, winter in Cyprus only lasts for a while.
