At the east entrance to the village of Arakapas, belonging to the Limassol district, the Church that was once part of the Monastery of Panagia tis Iamatikis, is found, and it is the only part that still remains from it today.
The construction of the small Church was done after a miracle performed by Our Lady, giving a vision to someone called Arakapas to find her holy water. This person built the small Church on the shores of the river of Amathos. As the years went by, the Church was transformed into a monastery and the areas around it were settled, creating the settlement having the name of its first resident.
It is a triple aisled Church and has a wooden roof.
