The path for pedestrians in ancient Amathounta, is part of a greater one that exceeds 14 kilometres and begins east of the St. Raphael Resort hotel, it crosses magnificent beaches and ends up at the Aquarius hotel.
From there onwards, it is interrupted since the hotels and restaurants occupy the shore. It recommences after the Royal Apollonia hotel and ends after a fantastic journey through great areas of green where you come across with cafes, kiosks and restaurants, on the renovated area of the old port and the Marina.
At these 4 kilometres of pavement (of which, a great part passes over the sea and is made of wood), you come across small sandy beaches. Access to them is possible since there are steps from the elevated path up until the seashore.
Small squares found along the path, give you the chance to observe the sea and the boats that come and go, without disturbing the pedestrians and the runners that use it for sport.
For someone who wants to exercise next to the sea, for someone who wants to spend some time walking with their family, away from exhaust fumes and the town noise, the “monopati tis aktis” (the coastline’s path) is the most ideal place.
