The Holy Church of Timios Prodromos in the village of Louvaras in the district of Limassol, is found on the east side of the old centre of the village, between the houses that follow traditional architecture.
It is built out of stone from the area (rocks of the river that have grey to black colour) just as most of the houses that surround it. The two highest levels of the belfry and the external corners of the protruding columns are shaped with white stone that was probably transferred from another area of the island. The great technique and the beautiful match of the two stones along with the simplicity of the belfry, will impress you.
It is a single aisled arched Basilica and was constructed in 1863.
