The Holy Church of Timios Stavros (Holy Cross) in Parekklisia, Limassol is a monument coming from the end of the Byzantines on the island or from the beginning of the presence of the Francs in 1192 A.D.
It has a Byzantine style, it is cruciform and has a dome. It is a very beautiful construction and at some points of it you can still see the carved ornaments that decorate the belfry and the rest of the Church on the outside.
The community council of Parekklisia made sure that there is a big square in front of the Church, and a municipal library in its precinct.
In front of the Church, on the east side of the square there is another ornamented monument, that is the book of twinning of Parekklisia with the Kekropia municipality, made of bronze.
