On the 10th of May, 2014, the new Church of Agios Georgios was inaugurated, which is the Patron Saint of a small community called Potami.
A few kilometres from Morphou’s shores, the settlers of a village felt the need that their community acquires a new church. It was in 1998 when the need became a decision and the keystone for the new church was placed. A few hundreds of metres from the entrance of the village, and next to the offices of the community council, they have managed to construct the church you can see on the pictures with many savings and collections.
