In Kokkinotrimithia, at Christmas in 2005, the church of Apostolos Varnavas was opened for the first time. It is a very imposing church and from 2011 onwards it has been established as the Metropolitan Church of the Kyrenia Metropolis.
In order to accomplish the Church's construction, fund raising in the community were taking place for many years.
