Vrysi tou Klamenou is found just a kilometre away from the picnic area of the Holy Monastery of Kykkos and two kilometres before the Monastery itself, as you are heading from the village of Gerakies to the Monastery, in the location of “Aspro Xilo”.

The water gushed out free from the mountain, and after it watered the platanus tree that is found in front of the faucet, it continued its journey up to the earth’s surface and it got lost into the forest of cedar and pine trees. This happened until 1968, when the Department of Forests transformed the area into a faucet, thus limiting the free flow of water.

Even though there is no forbidding sign for the use of water, it is better to avoid doing so.
