There is a small picnic area next to the monastery of Prophet Ilias in Lythrodonta. It provides its visitors with the most necessary things for a comfortable stay of a few hours, for rest and for food preparation.
A rotisserie gives the excursionists the opportunity to prepare their food in a secure place. There are a few tables for ten in the area as well as sanitaries.
The picnic area may be the only one in Cyprus that has a football court! It is small, but it exists.
You can reach the area from the village of Lythrodonta, but you need a high car. From the village of Vavatsinia, you will not have any specific difficulties, and if you are by foot, you can reach it from the picnic area of Kionia, through the path of observation of nature “Kionia-Profitis Ilias”.
