Within the “Linear Park” that falls in the Strovolos Municipality periphery, there is a small sports centre that is available for children above the age of 15 and to adults.
The place is called “the place of good physical condition” and it is found after the parking place we see on entering the linear park coming from the entrance of the Elaion Avenue.
The Linear Park disposes of a pedestrian footpath as well as a cycling track of a few kilometres. The tracks are parallel to the Pedieos river that are planted with trees all the way long. At intervals there are supplies with potable water. There are small squares equipped with benches, that offer the chance to its visitors to have a rest.
On the opposite of the “place of good physical condition” a space for the care of stray cats was created by animal lovers. The “shelter” hosts many dozens of cats that are regularly visited by the citizens that provide them with food and water.
