The Cedar Valley can be found on the route from the Monastery of Kykkos to Stavros tis Psokas. It covers areas of the southern slope of Tripylos and part of the north. The location as it has been described as the "Cedar Valley" is located on the southern slope, in the Paphos Forest. Administratively it belongs to Nicosia.
It is a beautiful valley with thousands of towering trees. The beauty of these trees is their foliage and their upright, towering trunks. It is unique in the world it is only found in Cyprus. In periods when conifers bear fruit, the visitor will enjoy unprecedented and exquisite pictures, like seeing thousands of decorated Christmas trees.
From the valley of cedars, there is a dirt road that brings us to the highest place of the forest on the "Tripylos" peak. The route has a distance of 2300 meters, is uphill and for a long time 'follows' the river that "descends" from the region of Tripylos.
Although the road is uphill, it can easily be traveled and youwill be "rewarded" at every step with wonderful and amazing images. The big "prize" is at the top of Tripylos, where the observatory of fire fighters of the Department of Forests of Cyprus is found. The descent is very easy.
