The enriching dam of Gaibon was built on the Mylos river, in Delikipos a few metres before the Diplogefiro, on the road going from Kornos towards Lefkara. It s a small dam, that offers magnificent images to the visitor during winter time.
The not so old years, the Mylos river fled in the summer too, and for this reason a few hundreds of metres away from the dam there was a watermill. Unfortunately today there is nothing except from some ruins.
During that period, it is overflowing and amateur fishermen from the neighbouring villages gather up, thus creating a beautiful image. The community council placed 2-3 benches for the few visitors to take a rest, and I say a few because the dam is not well known, but also due to the fact that it is enriching, which means that there is a controlled flow of water, it empties very quickly and if it does not rain soon enough, it gets empty.
If you visit the dam in winter, limit yourselves on the shores only. Do not descend to the riverbed and do not cross it at the point where it overflows. This point has to be taken care of by the Delikipos community council or the Water Development Department, and to be fenced so that it becomes inaccessible.
