Tempria is believed to have gotten its name from the king Tempros, who lived in this area, and more precisely in a Tempria cave.

Geographical names: Drakos: It is an old source.

Gerovrisi: It used to be a well known fountain of love. Petra: that was a high place that had a huge rock and under it was a deep cliff. That is where couples made their love vows and threw a small stone down the cliff.

Agios Georgios: it was a big square, where it was said that the Saint used to pass by every evening on his horse.

Vasiliko: It was a very beautiful place close to the river where many arodafnousa flowers grow.
