Ten kilometres northeast of the village of Panagia, Paphos, within the forest of Emnon, there is a small chapel dedicated to Agios Georgios. From the name of the forest surrounding the chapel, the Saint was named Agios Georgios Emnon.
It is a single-aisled basilica that has a wooden gabled and vaulted roof. It is built of stone, just as the one that was there before it but that was destroyed before 1977
It is built on the peak of a hill, in a forest with very old and tall pine trees, where wooden seats are found in their shade, for worshippers to have a rest, along with a tap to drink some water, at the same time when they will enjoy the wildflowers that grow on the slopes of the hill.
It is always open.
